Tammy Blitz, age 54 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, IA. Her family will be hosting a memorial service on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry, IA. Memorials will be given to the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. 

Tammy Sue Blitz was born on May 31, 1963 at Perry, IA to Larry and Cleta (True) Thompson. She attended school in Perry. She was united in marriage to Victor Otis Blitz at Perry at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church on May 15, 1982. She worked for many years at the Perry Manor as housekeeping maintenance supervisor.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, motorcycle riding and planting flowers.

In death she rejoins her mother, Cleta Thompson Kirkman.

Left to cherish Tammy’s memory are her husband Victor Blitz, father, Larry Thompson, children, Joshua (Stacey) Blitz, Dallas Center, IA and Jennifer (Brent) Rothfus, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Lola Blitz, Hayden Rothfus, Bryson Rothfus, Emma Ray, Gavin Ray and Gavyn Rothfus, siblings, Cindy (Steve) Boals, Creston, IA, Tim (Tracey Tiffany) Thompson, Perry, IA, Tina (Ralan) Nelson, Perry, IA, Greg Kirkman, Woodward, IA and Jeff (Heidi) Brown, Creston, IA, and many nieces and nephews.
