Sharon Taylor age 67 of Perry passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will be in the Wright Cemetery at Jefferson, IA. Memorials will be given to the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home.
Sharon Kay Taylor was born on October 31, 1948 at Jefferson IA to Paul Grant and Ruth Evelyn (Lindell) Wright. She attended Jefferson High School, graduating with the class of 1966. She was united in marriage to Billy Taylor on August 26, 1969. Resulting from that marriage was two of her true loves, her daughters, Billie Jo and April. Sharon worked at Lollipop preschool in Casey, IA from the fall of 1983 until 1994.
Sharry was an active member of the Heartland Church of Christ and loved the church community and involvement.
She enjoyed all animals, especially her dog, Clara Belle, she loved singing, and above everything else, spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruth Wright, son, Leonard Newton Taylor, siblings, Ronald (Carolyn) Wright, Ervin Wright, Terry Wright, Ruth Ann Wright, Juanita Grindle, and Arthur Wheelock.
She is survived by her daughters, Billie (Michael) Taylor-McLaren, Atlantic, IA and April (Dana) King, Cumming, IA, grandchildren, Timothy Taylor, James McLaren, Madelaine King and Anderson King, siblings, Paulette (Fred) Wilcoxen, Tulsa, OK, Gary (Jolee) Wright, North Port, FL and Leonard (Lisa) Wright, Perry, IA, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wright, Des Moines, IA, Christine Wright, Woodward, IA, Norman (Carolyn) Taylor, Oklahoma City, OK, and LaRue Wheelock, Anita, IA, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was very loved and will be missed by all.
