Robert "Bob" Dean Warner, age 89 of Perry, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery at Fort Dodge, IA at a later date. Online condolences may be sent at

Bob Warner was born on September 16, 1929 at Fort Dodge, IA to Lester Harm and Amanda Geneva (Hanson) Warner. He attended school at Fort Dodge High School, graduating with the class of 1947. He was united in marriage to Barbara Joan Sturdevant in Fort Dodge, IA on December 30, 1951. Bob worked at Fareway for 37 years beginning in Fort Dodge, then Oelwein, Cherokee and in 1972 he moved to Perry. In 1956, Bob was the youngest Meat Manager at the age of 27.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men in Perry. He enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Rowley Masonic Community and playing Bridge.

In death he rejoins his parents, Lester and Amanda.

Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his wife Barbara, children, Bob Warner Jr. and Don (Cathy) Warner, both of Mesa, AZ, Rick (Janet) Warner, Littleton, CO and Beth Renshaw, Waukee, IA. Grandchildren, Nathan (Sharla) Warner, Gilbert, AZ, Geneva, Ally and Candice Warner, Mesa, AZ and Kalen Renshaw, Waukee, IA and great grandchildren, Olivia and Avery Warner.
