Martha Carr, age 70 of Dallas Center, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry at 10:30 a.m. Memorials will be given to her family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Martha Elaine Carr was born on February 13, 1948 at Shinnston, WV to Robert Loudin and Roxie Elaine (Hurst) Carder. She attended the Shinnston Elementary and High School at Shinnston, WV. She was united in marriage to Junior Carr in Lorain, OH on February 14, 1985. She worked in home health care and as certified nurse’s aide at Amhurst Manor in Amhurst, OH.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shinnston, WV. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with family, cooking and loved to enjoy life. She especially loved spoiling her grandson’s and great granddaughters.

In death she rejoins her husband Junior Carr, parents, Robert and Roxie Carder, siblings, Warren Carder in infancy, Cecil Hurst, Edwin Carder and Verda Roberts.

Left to cherish Martha’s memory are her children, Tammy Laymance, Woodward, IA and Kevin Plunkett, Ankeny, IA, grandsons, Steven (Sara) Laymance, Ottawa, KS and Michael (Chyenne) Laymance, Woodward, IA, great granddaughters, Marlee, Madison and Zoe Laymance, siblings, Edward (Darleen) Carder, Grimes, IA, Thomas (Nelda) Carder, Avon Lake, OH, John Carder, Springfield, OH and Robert (Bentura) Carder and an abundance of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
