Lori Harrington, age 53 of Perry passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Luther, IA on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Memorials will be given to the Perry Public Library, Raccoon Valley Pet Rescue or the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.

Lori Kay Harrington was born on February 4, 1966 at Webster City, IA to Robert Max and Sandra Louise (McVay) Malone. She graduated from Woodward Granger High School and Eastern Iowa School for Nannies. She was united in marriage to Jeff Harrington in 1991 and later divorced. She worked as a Nanny for 2 families before working at Woodward State Hospital Day Care Center. She also worked in home day care, the Hotel Pattee, Home Instead Senior Care, the Perry Lutheran Home and last at Rowley Masonic Community.

She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing card games, watching movies and being with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Lori’s memory are her parents, Robert and Sandra Malone, Perry, IA, children, Adam Harrington, Sean Harrington and Megan Harrington, all from Perry, IA, grandchildren, Jesse Oliver Wheeler, Perry, IA and Alley Elizabeth Thorpe, Panora, IA, siblings, Robin (Phil) Conklin, Perry, IA and Lisa Malone, Woodward, IA, many nieces and nephews, co-workers, friends and her cat Boo-Boo.
