Lloyd Robert Olson, 89, son of Lloyd Andrew & Mabel (Wicks) Olson, was born August 25, 1929 in Perry, Iowa.  He passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at his home in Perry.

Lloyd graduated from Perry High School and went on to attend four years of college in Kansas.  He returned to Perry and went to work at Don’s T.V. and repair for about 12 years. On November 22, 1972, he was united in marriage to Donna Maxine McComas in Perry.  He then operated his own T.V. and repair business for the next 20 years, retiring in 1991 at the age of 62.

Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting, napping, being outside, and he loved Iowa Hawkeye Football.

Lloyd was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perry, where he served as Treasurer, Head Usher, and custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Donna of Perry; son, Rick (Judy) Olson of Kansas; daughter, Nancy Harris of Arizona; step-sons, David (Peggy) Cannon of Perry; Dan Cannon of Texas; Mickey (Patti) Cannon of Shamrock, TX; step-daughter, Vicki (Roy) Stewart of Alabama; and very many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Olson, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, Perry.  Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery, Perry.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church.

Memorials may be left to First Baptist Church or may be left at Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
