Eugene Roggasch, age 82 of Perry, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home in Perry, IA. According to his wishes a private family memorial service will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to the Perry Humane Society and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home. 


Eugene Donald Roggasch was born on January 23, 1935 at Council Bluffs, IA to Walter W. and Hertha (Speck) Roggasch. He attended school in California then, entered into the Marine Corp after graduation. He was united in marriage to Bettijo Hotchkiss at Reno, NV on September 27, 1958. He owned and operated his own business in California before moving to Perry, IA in 1992. After retirement, he worked with Bettijo at Mars Dairy Bar in Perry.

He enjoyed reading and he could repair anything that needed to be fixed.

In death he rejoins his, parents Walter and Hertha Roggasch and 3 brothers, Eddie, Junior and Bobby Roggasch.

Left to cherish Eugene’s memory are his wife Bettijo Roggasch, Pery, IA, children, Kirk Roggasch, Toulmne, CA, Karry (Ricky) Peterman, Lewisville, TX and Dwayne (Vonda) Roggasch, Holstein, IA, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, a sister, Pat (Doyle) Turner, Gordonville, TX and a sister-in-law, Janet Rogers, Perry, IA.
