Derry Pitsenbarger, age 71 of Perry passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home near Perry, IA. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Perry Bible Church in Perry. Memorials will be given to Dallas County 4-H and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. 

Derry Dean Pitsenbarger was born on December 8, 1946 at Perry, IA to Dale L. and Thelma June (Schwab) Pitsenbarger. He graduated from Dexfield High School and attended Northeastern Oklahoma A & M and Oklahoma State. He was united in marriage to Joyce Meacham at the Shiloh Bible Church on September 9, 1967. Derry was a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of the Perry Bible Church, Dallas County Cattleman’s, Iowa Herford Association, Dallas County Fair Board, Iowa State Fair Board and a High School Rodeo Director. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, rodeo's, cattle shows, high school football games and restoring old tractors. He especially loved his grandchildren.

In death he rejoins his parents, Dale and Thelma Pitsenbarger and a nephew, Kip Rogen.

Left to cherish Derry’s memory are his wife Joyce Pitsenbarger, children, Wendi (Dan) Moody, Maxwell, IA, Jodi (Carl) Jenkins, Des Moines, IA and Mandi (Jim) Orman, Linden, IA, grandchildren, Trystan Pitsenbarger, Chasity and Shasta Moody, Noah, Zoe and Macey Jenkins, Jarrett, Jacey and Jenner Orman, siblings, Doyce Pitsenbarger, OR and Karla Rogen, Linden, IA and numerous friends and neighbors.
