Charles Edward Terrill, 84 of Altoona and formerly of Perry, went to be with the Lord, September 5. He was born May 13, 1932.

He lived at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona, Iowa. He was a long time resident of Perry, Iowa where he had a small farm operation. He was a retired Sheet Metal Worker and a member of Local #45.

He was married 65 year to Mary who passed away July 1st, 2015. They had five children, Michael (Valerie) Terrill, Jackie Dean Terrill (companion Marilyn McGlothlen), Marlene Bruch (companion Bob Egenberger), Valda Clarkson (Norm McLey), David (Angel) Terrill. He had 7 grandchildren, Edward Bruch, Tina Berning, Aaron Terill, Timothy Terrill, Troy Clarkson, Dallin Maycumber, Callie Terrill. He had 9 great grandchildren.

He loved socializing and was quite a jokester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Terrill and his wife Mary Terrill.

He will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service at Valley View Cemetery, rural Perry, Iowa.

Memorial contribution may be made to Prairie Vista Village who made Chuck and Mary's final years home sweet home with their caring and compassionate staff.
